It has been a while since I have been here. Sometimes you have intentions of keeping in touch, not getting sidetracked or just occasionally checking in…and then LIFE HAPPENS!
I just took a look at the YEAR that had gone by, and we have done so much! I wanted to share a few highlights with you.
I made a new friend Mable, or as some like to call her #UnstableMable. You can find more from her on Instagram at @jessica_james_84.
Then there was the trip (or two) to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. They have the best photo tours and you can spend all day just enjoying the animals from your vehicle or a guided tour bus/van.
Later on we also made a trip to the Dallas Zoo for a photo tour to treat a family member for her birthday. We got to meet the new lion cub Behati (who is not quite so little anymore) and see some of the other fantastic animals while we were there.
We also made a stop in Colorado to see family and a short trip to Silverton. There is always plenty of wildlife to enjoy and it was a great trip to unwind and relax.
Any time we travel West, and travel through Santa Fe, NM we always make a stop at the Starbucks on St. Francis next to the rail car.
During the holidays we also took a trip to one of our favorite spots – Moab, UT. It was extra special with the snow covered desert as a backdrop to some amazing trails.
Then in the spring (before it got too hot) we went to Big Bend National Park. I don’t know what took us so long! It will definitely be on our list to visit again and again.
During that trip we also made a stop at Fort Stockton, TX where the famous Paisano Pete is seen, and a fantastic coffee shop The Garage.
In between all these adventures, so many projects were started (some not yet completed…sigh) and so many new skills were learned!
In case you didn’t know you can follow along with my adventures on Instagram as well as @Willingfred and my buddies Kip and May can be followed on IG as well @furrymeatslinky. They recently reached 200+ followers and were SO excited!
Now I think we are sufficiently caught up!
I had no idea how much we had accomplished in the last year or so, and we hope to get back to blogging regularly. We appreciate you all following along and are so glad to have traveling companions to share our journey with.
Peace and Love, Fred
